Sculpture

Griffin (2008) 4' x 3' x 6'.  Further exploration of mythological milestones, trying to cut my teeth and earn a place for chicken wire as a stand alone material, I made the griffin as part of my application to SFAI.

Untitled (2007) 12" x 12" x 18" One of my first mixes of with cable ties and wire, also my first adding in a hand moulded piece.   I like to think this one might name itself.

Basilisk 1 (2009) 4' x 5' x 4' A mythical creature and a reptile, one unknown and mythical, the other, very real, and a solid part of my upbringing. A large lizard representing bridge between fantasy and reality, similiarly the grid of wire mesh bridges its synthetic nature with the notion of organic form.
